I’m in disbelief after learning that North Carolina is on the Top Ten list for most Dangerous States in the nation for “Pedestrians”. The numbers on pedestrian deaths and accidents in North Carolina seem crazy. I read something like 17% of the North Carolina traffic fatalities were pedestrian deaths. Nearly 200 pedestrians died last year in North Carolina, that’s nuts. This is considering that only around 8% of all pedestrians involved in a motor vehicle crash were killed.

North Carolina changes rules for Mopeds

A North Carolina bill that requires mopeds to have a North Carolina license plate and also be registered and titled in North Carolina passed the House 83-29 on Thursday June 19th 2014 and was sent to the Senate. The House didn’t approve the bill until after the provision that would require liability insurance be purchased by moped operators was removed
